Notes |
- Emily DECKER was born at an unknown location November 1852. Emily died May 1858 at an unknown location, at age 5. Age 5 years 6 months. Her body was interred May 1858 at Rocky Harbour, Bonne Bay, District of St. Barbe, Newfoundland. Tombstone Inscription: Emily & Philip DECKER who departed .... May 1858. Emily 5 years 6 months. Philip 2 years 7 months. June 8, 1997 - Emily shares a tombstone with a Philip DECKER (1855 - 1858) who most likely is her brother. At the time of their birth there are only one of two sets of parents that would have had these two children. James & Elizabeth DECKER or Jesse & Sophia DECKER. I assume that the parents are James and Elizabeth DECKER as Jane HUTCHINGS in her book Early Settlers list a Philip as a son of James and Elizabeth. And Jesse & Sophia also had a daughter Emily DECKER (1856- ) thus eliminating them as the parents.
