He married «b»Roselia«/b» «b»ELLSWORTH«/b» 1915 at Bonne Bay, District of St. Barbe, Newfoundland. He married «b»Florence Annie«/b» «b»BANCROFT«/b» estimate 1906 at Bonne Bay, District of St. Barbe, Newfoundland. Charles died at an unknown location, at age unknown. Charles, a telegraph-operator, arrived in Bonne Bay by 1893, settling at Woody Point. He was a native of Petites, on the south-west coast. His father, Francis Augustus READ, a sub-collector for H. M. Customs on the south-coast, was a native of England. The READ family is no longer present in Bonne Bay.
