Some people have Robin in is name, but does not belong, it probably a mistake in transcribing the material for Hutchings and Buehler's book «i»Early Settlers on the Southwestern Shore of Newfoundland's Northern Peninsula«/i» came from marriage # 2 in the first marriage register at The Curch of Epiphany at Woody Point, Newfoundland, dated August 9, 1879 between Charles BENOIT and Cecilia PAYNE wher is name is not clearly spelt out where the father is listed. But 6 marriages later it is clearly spelt as Robert as father of Phoebe at her marriage. All other info including his tombstone at Cow Head, Newfoundland lists his name as Robert.
