    Charles Bannister, My (Ralph Randell) father, was born at Ship Coe, now Port Reston, on March 10, 1893. He married my mother Elizabeth Hyde at Port Rexton on may 29, 1924. Mother was the daughter of Matthew Hyde and Amy Ann (Butler) Hyde of New B onaventure, Trinity Bay. Mother was born at New Bonaventure on Sept. 18, 1901. Grandmother (Amy Ann Hyde) died Nov. 1939, Grandfather (matthew Hyde) died May 1944. Both are buried at New Bonaventure. Father was a fisherman; a sailor; a steel work er at Sydney, Nova Scotia; a logger; a shipyard rigger at Saint John, New Brunswick and halifax, Nova Scotia and a carpenter in St. John's, Gander, Corner Brook, and at the U.S. Naval Base, Argentia. Father died at Port Rexton on June 16, 1952 at the age of 59 years after being disabled for several years with a heart condition. Mother died in St. John's on June 16, 1983 at the age of 81 years 9 months. Both are buried at Port Rexton.

    Charles married Hyde, Elizabeth on 29 May 1924 in Port Rexton, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Elizabeth (daughter of Hyde, Matthew and Butler, Amy Ann) was born on 18 Sep 1901 in New Bonaventure, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada; died on 16 Jun 1983 in St John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.     Robert was born circa 1852 at Bay of Islands, Newfoundland. Robert was the son of John BRAKE and Ann WHEELER. He married «b»Eliza Ann«/b» «b»PAYNE«/b» December 6, 1874 at Bonne Bay, District of St. Barbe, Newfoundland. Entry No. 46 - Robert BRAKE of Bay of Islands, bachelor, and Eliza PAYNE of Bonne Bay, spinster, were married according to the rites of the Church of England on the sixth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy four. (The said Robert BRAKE and Eliza PAYNE having been married, by a layman on the 25th November 1872, there being no clergyman to be found in the place at the time, according to a custom prevailing on the shore). By me Joseph J CURLING, Missionary Priest. The above marriage was solemnized between us; his mark X Robert BRAKE and her mark X Eliza PAYNE. In the presence of us; his mark X Mark R ROBERTS, her mark X Frances LUNDRIGAN.

Married in the Church of the Epiphany according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Church of England, By me Charles William HOLLANDS. This marriage was solemnized between us: The mark of X Robert BRAKE & the mark of X Anna Maria CROCKER. In the presence of us: his mark X Elijah PAYNE, Diana PAYNE.
