• Notes

  Joseph, a fisherman, arrived in Bonne Bay around the 1840's. He was a native of Exeter in England. He married Sarah DECKER (1827 - 1900) daughter of James DECKER (1800 - 1880) of Rocky Harbour. They settled at a point near the mouth of Bonne Bay, two miles north of Woody Point, which was known as Mudge's Point.
